Two WVC Teams Win National Championships in Houston |

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse both brought home national championship trophys from the NCVF National Tournament held in Houston, Texas from April 7-9.
The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh entered the tournament as the #3 seed in Division I and went undefeated on the weekend, knocking off #16 Ohio State University (25-20, 25-21), #6 UC-Davis (25-20, 25-15), #2 Indiana University (25-19, 22-25, 15-13) and #13 University of Notre Dame (21-25, 25-12, 15-10) on the final day to win their third Division I championship. It was their fifth national championship match in seven years. This also marked the seventh year in a row that a WVC team has been in the Division I national championship match.

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse entered the tournament as the #1 seed in Division II after losing a three set championship match in 2010's tournament. The Eagles also went undefeated on the weekend, defeating St Olaf College (25-20, 25-18), #25 Duke University (25-18, 25-22), #5 UW-Eau Claire (25-20, 23-25, 15-8) and #13 Providence College-Canada (25-22, 25-19) on the final day to win their first national championship in school history. It's the third time a WVC team has won the Division II title.
The University of Wisconsin-Stout came within one set of adding a third title to the weekend's collection. The Blue Devils lost in the Division IAAA championship match to North Dakota State University (21-25, 25-18, 9-15). It was their first loss of the weekend.

UW-Oshkosh Sweeps at 2011 WVC Championships |
04/03/11 - The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh swept all three titles at the 20th annual Wisconsin Volleyball Conference State Championships held in Oshkosh. UW-Oshkosh defeated Marquette University in the men's varsity final 2-0, the women's Oshkosh A squad defeated UW-Whitewater 2-0 and Oshkosh II defeated Northland International University 2-1 to take the JV division crown.

02/21/11 - UW-Oshkosh II captures the JV divison regular season title for the 10th straight year with a perfect 5-0 record in conference. Congratulations to Lumpy and the Oshkosh organization on this achievement.

02/20/11 - The Gruenhagen Conference Center located on the UW-Oshkosh campus is a very affordable option available for teams staying over night for the WVC State Championships on April 1-2, 2011. The college dorm style rooms are $25.50 per night.

WVC Kickoff Meeting |
11/15/10 - The Wisconsin Volleyball Conference is holding a mandatory meeting for representatives from all conference teams on Saturday, Nov. 20th. The meeting will be held at UW-Oshkosh in the Kolf Sports Center (room 135) at 11:00am.
Please bring your gym times to schedule, and the contact info requested. The women's teams will be leaving early to resume their tournament, so the Agenda order is as follows:
1. Intro of new presidents/captains, new business/concerns
2. Player/Student Advisory Group - looking for 5 members (3 varsity men, 2 JV men, 2 women)
3. Dues, Badger Region registration, eligibility
4. Review of match protocol, uniforms, statsistics/awards and WVC expectations
5. 20th Anniversary State Championships April 1-2, UW-Oshkosh - Getting word out to alumni, planning the weekend events, ideas / suggestions to get teams and players to stay for the championships and awards
6. NCVF Nationals @ Houston, TX April 7-9, 2011

2011 NCVF Championships Set for Houston |
09/20/10 - The National Collegiate Volleyball Federation in cooperation with USA Volleyball has selected Houston, TX and Reliant Park as the host city and venue for its 2011 NCVF Collegiate Club Championships to be played April 7-9, 2011. The event is run in partnership with USA Volleyball who is responsible for identifying venue options for the NCVF Championship Tournament.
"We are very excited to go deep into the heart of Texas this year and know that all our teams will be thrilled to be a part of the collegiate sports extravaganza that will surround the championship event, said Sante Perrelli, President of the NCVF.
